How is the interface laid out?

Requires Basic

On the left is the navigation with all the modules (collapsible), and at the top is the header bar with notifications, the language switcher, the theme switcher, and the user menu. Searching and filtering happens directly in the respective module lists — there’s no global search bar.

The sidebar on the left leads to the modules: Dashboard, Assets, Infrastructure, Network, Discovery, Software, Certificates, Catalog & Checkout, Data, Reports, Scan, Maintenance, Compliance, Operations, Monitoring, and Provisioning.

  • The arrow icon at the top lets you expand and collapse the bar (narrow icon bar). On a smartphone, you open it via the menu button.
  • Modules that are not included in your plan appear grayed out with a lock icon and the notice “Not included in your plan - upgrade to unlock”.
  • Modules that an administrator has hidden are missing entirely.
The navigation: all modules on the left, locked ones with a lock icon.

In the top-right header bar, you’ll find:

  • Notifications (bell icon): unread messages are shown as a red counter; clicking it opens the list.
  • Language switcher (globe icon): choose your language.
  • Theme switcher: switch between Light, Dark, and the Notory theme.
  • User menu (avatar): shows your email and, depending on your permissions, “Admin console”, “Profile”, “Settings”, and “Log out”.
The header bar with notifications, language switcher, theme, and user menu.

Notory has no global search bar. Instead, every module list comes with its own “Search…” field and matching filters — for example, in the Assets list, to narrow down by name, serial number, or status.

Searching and filtering happens in the respective module list, here for assets.

Clicking the bell opens the “Notifications” list. Unread items are marked; clicking an entry marks it as read. If there’s nothing new, it shows “No new notifications”.

Use the language switcher (globe icon) to choose your language. German and English are always available; the instance can enable additional languages. If you’re logged in, your choice is saved to your account and reused the next time you log in (see also Manage your profile).
